When the entrees came, I asked our server to bring our desserts ASAP, because I couldn't take another hour-long wait. About 2 hours in at this point, and only had a small appetizer. We felt trapped, and being taken advantage of. We had already eaten our appetizer, and our entrees were (hopefully) on their way, so it was too late to escape. The restaurant was full, but that shouldn't be anything out of the ordinary for them.Īt this point, we literally felt like we were being held hostage. It should have been pretty straightforward in the kitchen. It was restaurant week, so they had a fixed and very limited menu. Everybody around us sat there waiting too. The table next us got brought 2 out of their 3 appetizers, the 3rd one came 20 minutes later, and the same happened again with their entrees, even they had ordered together! Another table went to make a scene at the bar, because they couldn't wait to get out of there, but their server (same as ours) somehow didn't come to pick up their cards.įinally our appetizers came out, and I will admit that they were good. Our server was nowhere to be seen, and then I noticed that literally everybody around us was looking frustrated, upset and even angry. Did you know that anything over 85 dB can cause permanent hearing loss? After an hour in there, my head started to hurt. The music was extremely loud! I measured with my phone and averaged 86 dB. I usually don't mind waiting a bit, since we were here to enjoy each other's company to begin with, but don't even think about having a conversation. Our drinks came another 10 minutes later, we were now 1 hour and 15 minutes in. We contemplated leaving, but we were looking forward to the food. She took our order, and then took another 15 minutes just to bring water, not even our drinks! So at this point, we had been there for 1 hour and 5 minutes, we were starving and dehydreated (it was hot in there) and we merely got a glass of water. ![]() It took another 20 minutes for our server to even show up. We got seated at a nice table inside, but then the wait really began. But I could understand, it was a busy night. We showed up at 7:30pm sharp and were told we would have to wait 5 minutes. We had reservations for 7:30pm on Wednesday night during restaurant week.
